Our Festive Fun Run 2025 was a great success!  On Sunday 14th December, over 120 runners gathered at the Flamstead Pavilion for a quick warm up before heading onto the 5km route.  There was a wonderful mix of generations, from babies in running buggies to octagenarians, all walking or running the route together, some with dogs in tow, but all with smiles on their faces!

A really lovely community event joined by runners from other parts of Hertfordshire gathered together to have some fun whilst raising money for our charity.  We are delighted to be able to announce that we raised almost £1,750 - a fantastic amount of money from a mix of ticket sales, raffle sales, the Chairman's Challenge, food donations and general donations so thank you very much if you took part.

There was a  happy buzz in the pavilion as people warmed up after the run, helped by hot drinks, mulled wine and cider with festive nibbles.

Many congratulations go to our race winners, Tom Short, Emily Hickey-Baird, Emily Carter (15 yrs) and Seb Hobson (8yrs) as well as to those who were lucky in the raffle and picked up some great prizes.

 

Our very big thanks go to Harpenden Medical and High Elms Tree Surgery for sponsoring the event and thank you to Aylett Nurseries for donating the mini Christmas trees as prizes.  Last but not least, we would also like to thank all our wonderful volunteers who helped us put on this event.
