CHARITY UPDATE OCTOBER 2021
12 October 2021
We have some important information to update everyone following our last article in August.

Firstly, we need you to SAVE A DATE in your diaries for a fundraising event we are currently planning on Saturday 25th June 2022. We are hoping for this to be an outdoor cinema event in the grounds of Flamstead Village school, overlooking the beautiful countryside we have on our doorstep! The aim is to feature a family/children friendly film during the day and have an adult only film at night with bar and food available to purchase. More information to follow so watch this space........
If you have a business or company and are interested in sponsoring our event, please do get in contact with us - we would love to hear from you.
Secondly, we have changed our website address to www.thewishtreecharity.co.uk so please make a note and take a few moments to visit our site. Here you will find information about the Charity, Trustees, updates, donate page, event information, photos from previous events and contact details. We will also be adding information/details regarding our Outdoor Cinema fundraising event as well.

Thirdly, and most importantly, we are very much in need of some new Trustees to join the Charity, to enable us to keep the Charity alive within Flamstead. We need new Trustees to meet the requirements of the Charity Commission otherwise we run the risk of being closed down. We are a very small team and sadly one of our Trustees has to end their term with us in December this year. We are obviously very passionate about keeping up the help/support that the Charity offers but like many other organisations, we rely on villagers getting involved. If you are interested in finding out what this may entail, please do get in touch for an informal chat.

Finally, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and purchased cakes at The Village Show Tearoom. We raised over £300 which is a fantastic amount. Special thanks go to our volunteers who helped during the event, to the WI for loaning us the crockery and to those who organised the event.
